# Returns and Refunds Policy

We want you to be confident ordering compatible ink from us. This policy explains how to return an item, when a refund or replacement is offered, and how long it takes — in plain English. It is in addition to your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

## 1. Cancelling an order before it ships

If your order has not yet been dispatched, contact us at support@craneinks.com and we will cancel it and refund you in full to your original payment method, normally within 1–3 working days.

## 2. 30-day return window (change of mind)

You can return an unopened item within **30 calendar days** of delivery for any reason, including simply changing your mind. To qualify:

- The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original sealed packaging, with all original labels, batch markings, and accessories intact.
- Opened ink cartridges, bottles, or sealed pouches cannot be resold and therefore cannot be accepted for a change-of-mind return, on hygiene and quality-assurance grounds. This does not affect your rights for faulty goods (see section 4).
- The item must be in resalable condition.

3. How to start a return

1. Email support@craneinks.com within 30 days of delivery, with your order number, the items you want to return, and the reason.
2. We will reply within 1 working day with a return authorization (RMA) number and the return address.
3. Pack items securely in their original packaging and post them back to us using a tracked service. Please write the RMA number on the outside of the parcel.
4. Once we receive and inspect the items (usually within 2 working days of arrival) we will email you to confirm your refund or replacement.

4. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, or is not what you ordered, you are entitled to a free replacement or a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please email support@craneinks.com as soon as possible, ideally within **30 days of delivery**, with:

- Your order number;
- A short description of the problem;
- Photographs of the item, any damaged packaging, and (where relevant) a printer nozzle-check page or error message.

For faulty, damaged or incorrect items **we cover the cost of return postage**. We will either email you a pre-paid returns label or refund the postage you paid when we process your return.

5. Return shipping costs

- **Faulty, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items:** we pay return postage.
- **Change of mind / no longer needed:** you pay return postage. We recommend a tracked service as we cannot refund items that do not reach us.

6. Refunds — how and when

Refunds are issued to the original payment method (card, PayPal, etc.). We process refunds within **3 working days** of receiving and inspecting the returned goods, and always within the 14-day statutory deadline. Depending on your bank, the funds typically appear within a further 3–5 working days. We will email you a confirmation when the refund has been issued.

What is refunded:

- The full price of any returned items.
- Original outbound standard shipping is refunded in full where the return is due to our error (faulty, damaged, or incorrect item).
- Original outbound shipping is not refunded for change-of-mind returns where part of the order is kept.

7. Items we cannot accept for change-of-mind returns

- Opened ink cartridges, bottles, or pouches whose seal has been broken.
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery without prior agreement.
- Items returned without a return authorization (RMA) number.
- Items showing signs of misuse, incorrect storage, or use in printer models not listed as compatible on the product page.

None of the above limits your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods (see section 4).

8. Statutory cancellation right

In addition to our 30-day policy, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a statutory right to cancel a consumer (non-business) online purchase within **14 days of receiving the goods**, for any reason, and return the items within a further 14 days for a full refund of the price paid and standard outbound delivery. To exercise this right, email us at support@craneinks.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

9. Country of return

Our returns address is in the United Kingdom. We currently ship to and accept returns from mainland UK addresses only.

10. Effect on printer warranties

Some printer manufacturers state that the use of non-OEM consumables may affect their warranty. Please check your printer warranty before installing compatible ink. This does not affect our own product warranty — if our ink is defective we will replace it or refund you in line with this policy and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
